Swimming pool regulations

  • Smoking is prohibited throughout the whole area of the Bellavita Pool and Spa.
  • Use of the entire facility is in every case at the user’s own risk.
  • Municipality Pontresina accepts no responsibility for lost or stolen property. Lost property is to be handed in at the counter.
  • A permit is required for giving swimming lessons and other courses.
  • School classes, groups and suchlike may only visit the pool under the supervision and accompaniment of an adult. One accompanying person is required per 12 persons.
  • The pool staff is entitled to reserve and section off parts of the pool for schools, associations, courses, etc.
  • Children under 8 years and those who cannot swim are only admitted in the company of an adult (adult = 18 years). Young persons under 16 years of age who are not accompanied by an adult have to leave the indoor swimming pool by 8 p.m. at the latest. No responsibility is accepted for unsupervised small children.
  • The opening times are posted at the entrance. The entrance to the pool is shut 30 minutes before closing.
  • Entry to the swimming pool is only permitted for those wearing swimwear
  • A shower must be taken before entering the pool area.
  • It is prohibited:
    • to enter the wet areas wearing shoes
    • to stay longer than necessary in the changing rooms, showers and toilets
    • to be unclothed outside the changing room
    • to pollute the sanitation system or the pools
    • to eat, drink or chew chewing gum in the changing rooms and around the pools
    • to consume alcohol anywhere on the pool premises
    • to let small children play and swim without swimwear
    • for non-swimmers to enter the swimming pool
    • to dive using breathing equipment without a special permit
    • to push people into the swimming pool
    • to push other swimmers under the water
    • to play ball games with hard balls
    • to swim crossways across the lanes
    • to use the slide in ways forbidden by the regulations
    • to run anywhere in the building
    • to photograph people without their permission
    • to bring and use music players of any kind
    • to enter and use the swimming facility outside the operating hours
  • Jumping in from the long sides of the pool is forbidden.
  • Divers must first check to see that a dive can be done without endangering other swimmers.
  • It is not allowed to swim underneath the springboard area.
  • Persons with skin rashes, open wounds or infectious diseases and also drunken or unhygienic persons are not allowed to enter the pool.
  • Persons who suffer from temporary health disorders may only use the pool in the company of an adult attendant.
  • Subscriptions, annual and season tickets are issued to the individual person and are non-transferable. They must be inscribed with surname, first name and address.
  • Discounts for local residents from Pontresina and partner regions can only be granted if a valid residential permit is shown.
  • Lost entrance tickets will not be refunded. Lost individual subscriptions or annual and season tickets may be reissued for a fee of CHF 20.-
  • During maintenance work, the pool will remain closed.
  • If a key is lost, a charge of CHF 100.- will be made to cover the expenses incurred.
  • Suggestions and complaints by pool guests are to be presented in writing to the management.
  • Swimming pool regulations and signs, as well as directions by the pool staff, are binding. Furthermore, pool guests who behave inappropriately or give cause for complaints may be asked by the pool staff to leave the pool, after a warning has been given. Order, safety and good manners are to be observed.
  • On purchasing an entrance ticket, every pool guest agrees to accept the current swimming pool regulations. Infringements may lead to immediate expulsion from the pool, following a warning. In the event of repeated offences or serious infringements, the management may issue a limited or permanent entrance ban. Those who cause damages or pollutions are liable for them; in the case of minors, their parents or legal guardians are liable.
